On our first exciting day in Ahmedabad, we’ll immerse ourselves in its rich history and vibrant culture through a fascinating walking tour of its heritage treasures. Our day will begin early with an engaging walking tour, guiding us through the charming cobblestone streets of the historic center. In this labyrinth of history and tradition, we’ll marvel at the unique architecture and intricate details of buildings that have endured through the centuries. Later, we’ll visit Hutheesing Jain Temple, a 19th-century Jain temple. Here, we’ll witness its architectural majesty and meticulously carved details, representing a perfect synthesis of art and spirituality. The spiritual serenity emanating from this place will allow us to enter a state of reflection and calm. Continuing our tour, we’ll arrive at the imposing Bhadra Fort, an ancient fortress that stands as a silent witness to past grandeur. Built in the 15th century by Sultan Ahmed Shah, this monument will welcome us with its high walls and invite us to explore its beautiful inner gardens. We mustn’t forget the unique clock in the central tower, a symbol of the engineering and precision of that era. Our next destination will take us to the magnificent Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, renowned for its famous stone windows carved in the shape of the Tree of Life. This architectural marvel will astonish us with its elegance and the exquisite detail that adorns every corner. On our second day in Ahmedabad, we’ll continue exploring its rich history, this time delving into the legacy of one of the most influential leaders in modern history: Mahatma Gandhi. Our first stop will take us to the iconic Sabarmati Ashram, a retreat center and independence movement hub that played a pivotal role in Gandhi’s life. Here, we’ll walk the paths once trod by the “Father of the Nation,” visit his modest dwelling known as “Hriday Kunj,” and learn about his philosophy of nonviolence and civil resistance. After absorbing the essence of Gandhi, we’ll head to the majestic Jama Masjid, a 15th-century mosque that blends Indo-Islamic and Saracen architectural influences. We’ll admire its domes and minarets as we’re enveloped by its spiritual atmosphere, a reminder of the city’s cultural diversity. For a modern contrast, we’ll immerse ourselves in the colorful world of the Kite Museum. This unique museum is dedicated to the tradition of kite flying in Gujarat and will provide a fascinating perspective on this custom deeply rooted in the local culture. We will end our day exploring the bustling Manek Chowk market, a vibrant hub of nightlife with a diverse array of food and local products, filling stalls with jewelry, textiles, and culinary delights. This market reflects the rich diversity of Ahmedabad. To conclude our Ahmedabad experience, we will enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant, savoring authentic regional flavors while experiencing a cultural performance that connects us with the traditions and music of Gujarat. Flight Ahmedabad/Jaipur

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll take our flight to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, whose historical roots stretch back to the 18th century when Maharaja Jai ​​Singh II masterfully founded it. Jaipur is famous for its meticulous urban planning and stunning architecture, and its distinctive pink hue lends it a unique charm, making it India’s first planned city. Upon landing in Jaipur, we’ll head to our comfortable hotel to settle in, relax, and recharge before exploring the wonders the city has to offer. Recharged, we’ll stroll through Jaipur’s vibrant bazaars, where the colors, aromas, and local treasures will immerse us in the city’s authentic essence. In the afternoon, a mystical experience awaits us: the Aarti ceremony at Birla Temple, also known as Laxmi Narayan Temple. This stunning white marble temple was built by the prominent Birla family in 1988 and pays homage to the Hindu gods Vishnu and Lakshmi. Its majestic architecture and intricate design make it a significant symbol of Jaipur. The Aarti ceremony is a sacred ritual in which prayers are offered to the deities with great devotion. In Jaipur

Today we’ll visit the ancient capital of Amber, where the magnificent Amber Fort awaits exploration. This imposing fortress, perched on the hills near the city, will transport us back to the days of medieval grandeur. Masterfully constructed in the 16th century during the reign of Raja Man Singh I, Amber Fort took over two decades to build. To facilitate access to this historical gem, we’ll enjoy an exhilarating jeep ride* that will take us to its summit. There, the Diwan-i-Aam, or Hall of Public Audience, will dazzle us with its shimmering mirror designs and intricately carved columns. Similarly, the Sheesh Mahal, known as the Palace of Mirrors, will impress us with its walls and ceilings adorned with inlaid mirrors, creating a breathtaking spectacle. In the afternoon, we’ll venture into the Pink City of Jaipur to explore one of its most prized treasures: the majestic City Palace. This palatial complex blends diverse architectural styles and houses an exquisite collection of art and historical artifacts. From the delicately adorned courtyards to the intricate frescoes and glittering halls of mirrors, we will immerse ourselves in the opulence of Rajput royalty. We will continue our tour at Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory built by the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1726. This astronomical marvel continues to amaze us with its accuracy and predictive power to this day. An undisputed symbol of Jaipur is the celebrated Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. With its facade adorned by 953 windows, this five-story architectural gem was designed to allow royal women to observe processions and city life without being seen from the outside. Hawa Mahal will captivate us with its history and unparalleled beauty. We can’t miss exploring Jaipur’s bustling and colorful bazaars, such as Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, where we’ll immerse ourselves in an authentic shopping experience and take home unique souvenirs of our visit to Rajasthan’s captivating capital. Jaipur/Agra

Today we suggest you have breakfast early to make the most of the day. After breakfast, we’ll depart by road for Agra, covering approximately 260 km in about 5 hours. About 95 km from Jaipur, we’ll stop to discover an architectural gem: the Abhaneri Stepwell, also known as Chand Baori. Built in the 9th century, this ancient well impresses with its 13 levels and 3,500 steps, making it one of the deepest and most elaborate in India. Its geometric design and advanced engineering will leave you in awe. Next, we’ll head to Fatehpur Sikri, a historic city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century, it was the capital for about 14 years. Its magnificent Mughal-style buildings, such as the Buland Darwaza Gate, will captivate you with their grandeur and intricate details. After exploring the Ghost City of Fatehpur Sikri, we’ll continue to Agra, located about 40 km away. There, we’ll visit the Red Fort, an imposing red sandstone fortress that testifies to the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Its palaces, audience halls, and gardens will immerse us in history. Finally, after a day full of excitement and discovery, we’ll head to the hotel for a well-deserved rest. Agra/Delhi

Today is a truly special day, for an architectural jewel that has captivated the entire world awaits us: the Taj Mahal, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This masterpiece of white marble will leave us speechless with its splendor. In the 16th century, Agra became the capital of the Mughal Empire under the reign of Akbar the Great. But it was under the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan, that the city reached its zenith. The story of the Taj Mahal is as moving as its beauty. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their fourteenth child, Shah Jahan, deeply devastated by her loss, commissioned this magnificent masterpiece of white marble as a tribute to his eternal love. For more than two decades, thousands of artisans and workers toiled tirelessly to create this breathtaking mausoleum. The Taj Mahal is a transcendent testament to the power of love and beauty in the history of humankind. On full moon nights, as well as on the days before and after the full moon, the Taj Mahal remains open until midnight, except on Fridays, when it closes. We will return to the hotel for breakfast. After a well-deserved and delicious breakfast that has revitalized us for the rest of the day, our next stop will take us to explore two more historical treasures: the Red Fort and Akbar’s Tomb. The Red Fort, an imposing red sandstone fortress dating back to the 17th century, will immerse us in the history of the Mughal dynasty as we wander through its majestic courtyards, palaces, and pavilions. From here, we will head to the Tomb of Akbar, the Great Mughal Emperor, an architectural tribute to his grandeur and legacy. This tomb, set in a serene garden, embodies the magnificence of the Mughal era and its connection to the essence of Agra. After exploring these iconic sites, we’ll prepare for our drive to Delhi. The city will welcome us with its hustle and bustle and vibrant energy, and we’ll arrive at our hotel to rest and recharge after a day filled with historical wonders and cultural discoveries. Today we’ll experience firsthand the contrasts of Old Delhi and New Delhi, two equally captivating facets of this city. We’ll begin our exploration by immersing ourselves in the heart of Old Delhi, where time seems to have stood still. As we wander through the narrow alleyways of Chandni Chowk, the city’s oldest market, we’ll be enveloped by an explosion of colors, aromas, and flavors that will transport us back in time. Here, we’ll stroll through the spice market, a corner brimming with Indian culinary tradition that will awaken our senses. Our next stop will be the majestic Jama Masjid, one of the most imposing mosques in the country. Its breathtaking architecture and spirituality will leave us speechless. Then, we’ll head to the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh shrine that will welcome us with its aura of serenity and hospitality. Later, we’ll be struck by the elegance of Agrasen ki Baoli, an ancient well that will immerse us in intriguing legends and mysteries. After a well-deserved lunch to recharge, we’ll venture into New Delhi, where modernity and splendor are on full display. Standing before India Gate, an imposing archway symbolizing the spirit of independent India, we’ll contemplate the grandeur of the city. We’ll stroll along the iconic ceremonial boulevard, Rajpath, which will lead us to the majestic Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Continuing our tour of the capital, we’ll arrive at the Qutub Minar, a tower that rises to 73 meters in height and was erected by the sultans of Delhi. Our day will culminate with the impressive Humayun’s Tomb, a monument that inspired the creation of the iconic Taj Mahal. On this day of contrasts, we’ll experience the dual essence of Delhi, where the ancient and the modern coexist in harmony.
