Today we’ll delve into the fascinating contrast between Old Delhi and New Delhi. We’ll begin our exploration in Old Delhi, where time seems to have stood still, steeped in history and tradition. As we wander through the narrow alleyways of Chandni Chowk, the city’s oldest market, we’ll be captivated by the explosion of colors, aromas, and flavors that fill the air. It’s a unique experience you’ll take with you as a lasting memory. You’ll immerse yourselves in the richness of Indian culinary traditions, visiting the spice market—an experience that will transport you to an ancient era. We’ll continue our journey to the imposing Jama Masjid, one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the country, whose breathtaking architecture and spirituality will leave you speechless. Later, we’ll head to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a sacred site for the Sikh community, where we’ll be welcomed with peace and hospitality. Our first stop will be the captivating Eklingji temple complex, a sacred site dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The majesty of the temples, with their breathtaking architecture and intricate carvings, will leave us speechless. Here, we’ll delve into a small, historic town located just a few kilometers from Udaipur. Marvelous gardens, intricately carved balconies, and dazzling mirrors await. From its terraces, we’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Pichola and the city in all its splendor. But our Udaipur adventure wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh), also known as the Cloud Palace. Perched atop a hill, this palace offers stunning views of the city and its surroundings. Here, we’ll escape the tourist crowds and enjoy a more intimate and serene experience. Departing from Udaipur, we will head towards the breathtaking Jain temples of Ranakpur, a spiritual sanctuary nestled amidst wooded hills. The architecture of these temples is simply stunning; their intricate hand-carved details and sculpted columns will leave us in awe of the artistic talent of ancient masters. The serene and spiritual atmosphere of Ranakpur will allow us to connect with the very essence of India. Jodhpur/Jaipur

Jodhpur is known as the “Blue City.” We will begin the morning by visiting the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, a majestic fortress perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. As we step inside its walls, we will be transported to an era of royalty and conquest, exploring its palaces, courtyards, and halls adorned with indescribable splendor. From the fort’s heights, we will witness the magnificent contrast of the blue hues that blanket the city, creating a picturesque landscape. We will then continue our visit to Jodhpur’s cenotaphs, known as the “Chhatris.” These white marble funerary monuments pay homage to the city’s former rulers, and their elegant architecture will remind us of the grandeur of the Rathore dynasty. In Jodhpur’s bustling bazaars, the vibrant energy and colors intertwine in a captivating atmosphere. On this second day in Jaipur, we’ll immerse ourselves in the city’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, exploring its architectural treasures and vibrant markets. We’ll begin the morning with a visit to Birla Temple, a sacred white marble sanctuary that exudes tranquility and devotion. Here, we’ll participate in the morning ceremonies, a moving experience that will connect us with India’s spirituality and allow us to admire the temple’s architectural beauty. Continuing our tour, we’ll arrive at the iconic Hawa Mahal, the “Palace of Winds,” famous for its stunning facade with numerous intricately carved windows. This architectural masterpiece will transport us to a bygone era and invite us to imagine the lives of the royal women who observed the bustling city from its latticed windows. In the afternoon, we’ll delve into Jaipur’s famous bazaars, where the vibrant colors and aromas will envelop us in a bustling and lively atmosphere. The Johari Bazaar will dazzle us with its jewelry and precious stones, while the Bapu Bazaar will be a paradise for lovers of handicrafts and textiles. Here, we can enjoy an authentic experience, haggling and discovering unique treasures to take home as special souvenirs of our visit to Jaipur. Day 09

Jaipur/Fatehpur Sikri/Agra

Today we propose a day full of excitement, so we suggest you have breakfast early to make the most of this unique day. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off for Agra, traveling approximately 260 km in about 5 hours by road. About 95 km from Jaipur, we’ll find an architectural gem that will leave us in awe: the Abhaneri Stepwell, also known as Chand Baori. Built in the 9th century, this ancient well impresses with its 13 levels and 3,500 steps, standing out as one of the deepest and most elaborate in India. Its geometric design and advanced engineering will pleasantly surprise us. Then, we’ll continue our journey to Fatehpur Sikri, a historic city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in the 16th century by the Mughal emperor Akbar, this city was the capital for about 14 years. Its magnificent Mughal-style buildings, such as the Buland Darwaza Gate, will captivate us with their grandeur and intricate details. After exploring the Ghost City of Fatehpur Sikri, we will continue to Agra, located about 40 km away. There, we will visit the Red Fort, an imposing red sandstone fortress that testifies to the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Its palaces, audience halls, and gardens will immerse us in history and transport us to bygone eras. Finally, after a day full of excitement and discovery, we will head to our hotel in Agra for a well-deserved rest. Tomorrow, we will continue exploring the wonders of North India, a region brimming with historical treasures and stunning architecture. Day 10

Agra/Delhi

Today promises to be a truly special day, as we set out to discover an architectural jewel that has captivated the world: the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Agra, the city of wonders, reached its zenith in the 16th century under the reign of Akbar the Great. But it was under the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan, that the city attained unparalleled beauty. The Taj Mahal, an eternal symbol of love, was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who passed away far too soon while giving birth to their fourteenth child. Deeply moved by her loss, Shah Jahan commissioned this magnificent work of white marble, making it a breathtaking and enduring tribute to his love. For more than two decades, thousands of artisans and workers dedicated themselves tirelessly to creating this exceptional mausoleum.
